The Red Guy Blue Guy Media logo was derived from the original Red Guy Blue Guy Meme that was created by @RoadRich, the owner of this network of sites. This piece was hijacked by the right and conspiracy theorists and can be seen on many right wing and wing nut bumper stickers today. @RoadRich does not hold the same political views as he did when he created the piece. Creating a new version of this was also a small gesture to make up for the propaganda that he helped to originate.The political views expressed in the original meme are no longer held by @RoadRich. The new logo more accurately represents his views on the current state of the world.
The digital camera, the smart phone and other emerging technology is helping to reshape the way those with power respond to citizen action. Those with the means for violence think twice about using them when they have the world watching. Not only does it help to keep citizen journalists safe but also helps to inform and protect the general populace from those who would abuse their power.
Our logo is the simplest representation of how citizen journalism helps humanity. It keeps those with power (and the guns behind that power) thinking twice about using their power against the larger populace.
